Course description

Short description

In this course we will survey research on embodied cognition and systems theoretical perspectives that explores thinking from experimental, philosophical, linguistic, neuroscientific and phenomenological perspectives. We examine how human cognition is mediated and implemented through body and body-based resources such as physically grounded metaphor, object use, perception and action.

The course is open only for Psychology student.


The course is organized open to the individual interests of the participants, so the exact themes will be finalized by joint discussion.



Requirements to get the grade

Participation in class discussions, analytical reading / watching of required readings and videos, and one class presentation on a selected topic.
